Passports

TERMS:

  • 3 photocopies of the birth certificate and bring the original.
  • 2 photocopies of the passport (the identity page).
  • 2 completed copies of the passport application form.
  • 1 certified photocopy of the birth certificate of the person applying for the passport (machine readable) for the first time.

NB: the certification must be done at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cameroon. Passport fees: € Passport application submission days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday by appointment requested one week in advance

Ordinary Passport

 

The Ordinary passport is a travel document issued by the General Delegation for National Security (GDNS) available to all Cameroonian citizens upon request.
To apply for a standard passport, it is necessary to first complete pre-enrolment in the online portal.
Once the pre-enrolment process has been completed, an application form will be produced and used to complete the enrolment process in the selected office.

 

 

First-Time Passport

Cameroonian citizen residing in Cameroon

Supporting Documents required to be provided by type of application:

Minor applicants under the age of 15

  • pre-enrolment receipt
  • certified photocopy of the birth certificate
  • proof of social status, if applicable
  • parental authorization of one parent or legal guardian or holder of a legalized power of attorney
  • National Identity Card (NIC)- certified photocopy of one of the parents, legal guardian, or power of attorney to act in place of the parents

Minor applicants between the ages of 15 and 21:

  • pre-enrolment receipt
  • certified photocopy of the birth certificate
  • NIC-certified photocopy
  • proof of social status, if applicable
  • parental authorization of one of the parent’s or legal guardian or holder of a legalized power of attorney
  • NIC-certified photocopy of one of the parents, legal guardian, or power of attorney to act in place of the parents or legal guardian

Case of married minor

  • pre-enrolment receipt
  • certified photocopy of the birth certificate
  • certified photocopy of the National Identity Card (NIC)
  • proof of the profession or any socio-professional occupation, if applicable
  • certified photocopy of the marriage certificate

Emancipated Minor Applicant following a court decision

  • pre-enrolment receipt
  • certified photocopy of the birth certificate
  • NIC-certified photocopy
  • proof of the profession of the minor, if applicable
  • NIC-certified photocopy of one of the parents, legal guardian, or power of attorney to act in place of the parents or legal guardian
  • photocopy of court decision

Applicants over the age of 21

  • pre-enrolment receipt
  • certified photocopy of the birth certificate
  • certified photocopy of the NIC
  • proof of the profession or social status, if applicable

Married women over the age of 21

  • pre-enrolment receipt
  • certified photocopy of the birth certificate
  • certified photocopy of the NIC
  • proof of the profession or social status, if applicable
  • certified photocopy of the marriage certificate

Applicants over the age of 50

  • certified photocopy of the NIC
  • certified photocopy of the marriage certificate (for the married woman)
  • proof of the profession or social status, if applicable
 

Cameroonian citizens living abroad

Applicants under the age of 15

  • pre-enrolment receipt
  • certified copy of the birth certificate
  • certified photocopy of the National Identity Card (NIC), if any, of the residency card
  • proof of social status, if applicable
  • parental permission from one of the parents, legal guardian, or power of attorney

Minor applicants between the ages of 15 and 21

  • pre-enrolment receipt
  • certified copy of the birth certificate
  • certified photocopy of the National Identity Card (NIC), if any, of the residency card
  • proof of social status of the minor, if applicable
  • parental permission from one of the parents, legal guardian, or power of attorney
  • NIC-certified photocopy of one of the parents’ or passports if their NIC has expired or the legal guardian or any holder of a procuration to act in place of a parent

Minor emancipated applicants

  • pre-enrolment receipt
  • certified photocopy of the National Identity Card (NIC), if any, of the residency card
  • proof of social status, if applicable
  • certified photocopy of the marriage certificate or legal act of emancipation

Applicants over the age of 21

  • pre-enrolment receipt
  • certified photocopy of the birth certificate
  • certified photocopy of the National Identity Card (NIC), if any, of the residency card
  • proof of the profession, if applicable
  • photocopy of the residence or residence card or any other applicable document

Married woman over the age of 21

  • pre-enrolment receipt
  • certified photocopy of the birth certificate
  • certified photocopy of the National Identity Card (NIC), if any, of the residency card
  • proof of the profession, if applicable
  • certified photocopy of the marriage certificate
  • photocopy of the residence or residence card or any other applicable document

  • certified photocopy of the National Identity Card (NIC)
  • certified photocopy of the birth certificate for applicants under the age of 50

Change of parentage
